about

The songs on this album were written for use during worship times. In arranging them, we sought a predominantly acoustic aesthetic, with parts that were beautiful without being self-consciously ornate: the goal being not to draw attention to the music itself, but to the Lord to whom it is offered. We hope you enjoy listening to them; but even more, that they will help you to pray.

The main theme of the album is Christ as the Light to the Nations. Light is a symbol of the knowledge of God, which is brought to us in Jesus his Son. Our goal in campus ministry is to bring people to this knowledge of God, which draws them out of futility into purpose and hope. These songs anticipate the day when the people of every nation will come to know the Lord, and find their fulfillment and hope in him.
